In fact, the first Arctic Parka was created in 1972 to protect Alaska pipeline workers from harsh Arctic climates. Made with our signature Ramar fabric, it is reinforced with an innovative Teflon coating for greater resistance to rain and wind and is padded with duck down. The sleek lines of the garment are finished with a detachable fur insert around the hood and a series of pockets to keep essential items close at hand. The pockets are lined with a fabric treated with Polygiene ViralOff® technology, which kills over 99% of viruses within two hours.
